Women On The Grow — Hope, Healing, Restoration. Outreach and Programs
Who We Are
A Black-led nonprofit for melanated women carrying too much.
Women On The Grow, Inc. is a Black-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to support women who are going through difficult seasons and need both encouragement and practical help.
We serve women facing grief, caregiving responsibilities, unemployment, financial hardship, single parenting, family disruption, health challenges, domestic abuse, depression, and other life-changing circumstances. Many of the women who come to us are doing their best to hold everything together while quietly carrying heavy emotional and financial burdens.
Our support is personal, practical, and compassionate. We provide emotional wellness education, grief support, one-on-one guidance, community outreach, life skills workshops, and financial assistance for urgent needs.
When funding is available, we help women with emergency expenses such as car repairs, funeral costs, transportation to medical appointments, home utilities, and other unexpected bills that can quickly push a family into crisis. We also provide support to single parents and women who may not have family or other resources to turn to.
Sometimes a woman does not need a long program. She needs help keeping the lights on. She needs transportation to a medical appointment. She needs help repairing the car she depends on to get to work. She needs someone to listen after a loss and help her figure out her next step. That is where Women on the Grow comes in.
Our mission has been to help women regain their footing, access support, strengthen their emotional wellbeing, and move forward with dignity. We believe that when a woman receives the right support at the right time, it can change the direction of her life and strengthen the family and community around her.

Current Programs
I.C.U. Program
Caregivers are often so busy caring for everyone else that their own needs get pushed aside. This program provides financial assistance to exhausted and overwhelmed caregivers who may need help with basic expenses, transportation, meals, self-care needs, or simply a little breathing room.
We see your sacrifice.
We see your exhaustion.
We see you.
Thanksgiving Groceries With Love
Single parents work hard to keep their households going, but financial pressure can make it difficult to provide for their families. Through our Groceries Outreach Program, Women on the Grow provides grocery gift cards to selected single parents to help purchase food and essential items for their families.
Our goal is to help families experience a little less stress and a little more dignity, comfort, and joy.

Testimonies
"When I received the financial blessing from Women on the Grow, it was so much more than monetary relief. Being a single parent is not easy. This support helped during a time when the pressure felt overwhelming. Easing that immediate financial burden gave me the breathing room I desperately needed to regain my stability and step forward. It was a true lifeline, an answer to prayer, and a reminder that I was not walking through my struggles alone."

"I wanted to share my appreciation and gratitude to Women on the Grow, who consistently assist women in all things. I am a single mom with a teenage child at home. I shared my ministry of food preparing, distribution, and catering — but I was limited because my oven was no longer in good operating condition and I needed another fridge. When I shared this privately and openly, you and Women on the Grow sought ways to help. Soon after, Ms. Jewel Diamond Taylor and Kesha Fulton connected me with information on how to receive both a new fridge and stove. Now with this new oven and fridge, I have been able to accept more catering jobs, pay my car note, provide for my daughter, return to feeding the community, and deliver the healthier meals I provide through meal prep. Thank you Jewel Diamond Taylor and Women on the Grow for your continued efforts and support. Be Blessed — we are blessed to be a blessing!"

"At one of the lowest times in my life facing a serious illness. I was so weak I could barely care for myself. I was so grateful for the kindness shown to me. I don't remember a lot back then. I remember Joy helping me take a bath and Jewel had someone come and clean my apartment. I remember thinking that was the kindest thing anyone had done for me."
