As a full time Caregiver, I am so appreciative of your generous gift from your Women on the Grow outreach Organization...
I have NOT spent ANY time on myself, your gift will allow me to do something nice for myself.
My husband had a major stroke five years ago, I stepped into the Caregiver position, to help him. It is not easy, nor is comfortable, but it is something that I had to do.
The journey I’m on now as a Wife and a Caregiver are two very different roles, but, I would NOT give up either role at this point in his life…
AGAIN…I just want to thank you and your Organization for thinking of us Caretakers…

Because of your compassion and love...your giving purchased over 100 women's undergarments, over 100+ large body wipes, warm socks, personal hygiene boxes, and snacks for unhoused women living on skid road.
Thank you Joy Lewis (right), Cassandra Scott (left), and Jody Little for your joyful service to a100+ women who received so many free clothes, flowers, water, lunch, massages, hair braiding, yoga, african drumming, dancing, self-defense instruction, haircuts, face painting, healthy smoothies, pedicures, womb wellness education, head wraps, sexual health testing, reiki, art therapy, herbal clinic, medical care support, drug/alcohol support, dinner, etc. presented by LA CAN.
Our current outreach program and efforts are to bring relief and emergency funds to the families tragically affected by the California fire devastation.
We are offering $500 to families who lost their homes, cars, and even livelihood for emergency funds and dropping of toiletries to churches in the Altadena area.
We are so grateful to our Women on the Grow, Inc. 501(c)(3) monthly donor partners aka Sister $owers.
Because of your giving we have been true to our mission to be a resource to women experiencing hardships (e.g. breast cancer, single parents, grief, depression, unemployment, abuse, displacement, trauma, caregiver stress). We are offering $150 to 7 (seven) families to purchase groceries for Thanksgiving,
In the past weeks we offered...
. hundreds of diapers to a safe home for mothers in hiding from abusive husbands in Pasadena,
. flowers to a few women in the hospital with critical illness,
. dollars to Dawn Sutherland's Bridge-to-Africa Connection for her leadership and educational programs to improve the quality of life of young girls in Ghana
. counseling at no cost or a sliding scale for women who are experiencing depression, trauma, or stress
. $100 Valerie Vaultz's Straight Outta Compton's Kitchen non-profit outreach to feed the homeless
. $300 family of car living in their car
. 4 single mothers including a grandmother raising her grandchildren received $200
. $300 to young lady with critical cancer unable to work
. $150 to tribe sister for passing of her mother
. $150 to a single mother with cancer diagnosis
. sponsored 15 women to attend our recent Breast Cancer Awareness
. $200 for a caregiver for both parents
. sponsored 4 women to attend my recent ElevatHER Boot Camp for their personal/professional development

Our mission is to help underserved women and teen girls rise above adversity with proven life skills to achieve wellness and successful living. Our service engagement programs restore a sense of safety, power, hope, healing, self-worth, and self-sufficiency.

Our WE CARE OUTREACH PROGRAM is offered to women from all walks of life experiencing distress (caregiving exhaustion, depression, trauma, single parenting, home displacement, unemployment, illness, cancer, abuse, and grief). Counseling at no cost and financial support are offered as a result of our donors and amazing monthly sister $owers.
2. We have a PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM component i.e. classes, conferences, retreats, and EmpowHER meetings that offer tools for life skills, emotional wellness to cope with stress, self-care, health, relationships, resiliency, financial literacy, workforce/entrepreneur preparation, spiritual strength, and positive mindsets. We offer culturally responsive services, we understand the healing value of traditional cultural connections, recognize and address historical trauma.
It's hard for us to ignore the pain and suffering we see in our communities. The number of requests and calls from distressed women has increased, especially since the pandemic. Women on the Grow is about service and we are willing to pay the price of compassion. It is an honor to participate in a process and movement that helps to improve the quality of women's lives.

Women experiencing hardships have received emergency funds, free access to our programs, and spiritual support (i.e. breast cancer, domestic abuse, grief, trauma, overwhelmed caregivers, divorce, homelessness, COVID, recovering from acts of sexual violence, and parenting children with special needs, mental illness, or incarcerated).
I would like to thank you for being a rainbow in my life. I thank God for your love, support and guidance. As I reflect over the years how you have been here for me, I really appreciate you and I Thank you for creating Women On The Grow. You are an answered prayer. In 1993 I had an emotional breakdown, I was mad at God, I didn't understand why I had to have dysfunctional parents, both of them were on drugs, on top of that my mother was mentally ill. I was frustrated, I had just moved back to Los Angeles California from Chico California where I experienced racism first hand and I didn't know how to deal with it, there were so many things going wrong in my life and I needed guidance ASAP.
I remember falling down on my knees, praying and crying to God, I need help! please send me some beautiful black women to help me navigate this thang called life. It was about a week later, my prayer was answered God sent me you and four other beautiful women. Thank you so much for creating a safe place where I could heal. Thank you for teaching me coping skills, thank you for your LeadHERship classes. your relationship workshops. I just wanted to say thank you for your love, wisdom and support. You Rock Jewel Diamond Taylor. Because of you I am a better mother, wife, sister, friend and I am able to help other women heal, because of you I am a better teacher. Where do I start? My journey has been interesting recently. I experienced a place in my life where I needed direction. My compass was not directing me to my good.
